People are mostly use it in Breakfast or evening tea ,family gathering or Ramadan time with Iftar.Mostly people use it with lite snacks for i used it in Breakfast buffet for hotel guest.you can try at home very easy and tasty for lite snacks.

Doug Ingredients

  • 1 Cup water
  • 6 Cups plain flour
  • 1 Cup Olive oil
  • 1/2 Cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 1 Pinch Sugar
  • water to moisten hands while kneading


  • 2 kg fresh Spinach
  • 10 Onions
  • 2 tsp Sumac Powder
  • 200 gm Pine Nuts
  • 1/2 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 olive oil
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 2 pinches white pepper,ground

  1. Mix the flour with the water the oil salt and sugar in a mixing bowl and knead well for 10 minutes by hand or for 30 minutes with and electric dough kneader.
  2. Let the dough settle in the fridge for one hour before stuffing
  3. Meanwhile Finely chop the spinach and wash in water then drain repeatedly
  4. Chop the onion and add the salt set aside for 5 minutes
  5. Squeeze out excess water from the spinach
  6. Add the Sumac  Powder,olive oil and lemon juice to the spinach mixture and mix well Add more salt if need
  7. Divide the dough into several balls and roll out each ball to a thickness of 2 millimeter onto a floured marble table
  8. Cut the rolled out dough into squares
  9. Fill each square with one tablespoon of filling and secure edges together by folding them over and pressing firmly together
  10. Place in well oiled baking trays and bake in a oven on 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
  11. Serve hot or warm for breakfast and with evening tea .
