to prepare Mowaish  موش chose shrimp size i prepare 26-30 its not big and small its middle size of shirmp

  • Basmati Rice- 200 gm ( soak 20 to 30 mint in water)
  • Split Mung – 100 gm ( soak 20 to 30 mint in water)
  • Shrimp( 26- 30 size)- 16 pcs ( Remove skin and tails)
  • Onion – 1 small pcs ( fined chopped)
  • Garlic – 3 Cloves( fined Chopped)
  • Cumin Powder- 1 tsp
  • Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder 1 tsp
  • Dry lemon powder tsp
  • Dry lemon whole 1 PC
  • Saffron color 1 tsp
  • Coriander leaves chopped
  • hot water, salt to test


  1. Hit oil in Pan add Onion and Garlic cook until tender then add all the spics one bye one, but don’t  burn spices take care of your flame make it small  after add all spics now you can add shrimp and simmer for another few mints until shrimp is cook. Now remove that shrimp and keep it on side .
  2. (Note- when you cook shrimp don;t add lemon powder and dry lemon)
  3. In Same pan add some oil, dry lemon and onion ,Garlic after tender onion and garlic add all spices,
  4. add Hot water and salt to test once boil your water add Rice,split mung and cover it with lid and bring boil it until cook and make slow fame and keep it for 10 to 15 mint.
  5. Remove rice and serve in plate with layer rice then shrimp again rice and sever with hot Daccus
  6. garnish with Coriander leaves
  7. Fried onion and served lemon wedges also if you have red Maboush also can served with this it will be good to taste
