I normally make mine  with  just Ground Beef they give still great taste, you can use veal or beef .Spices and Meat balls and sweet BBQ sauce so awesome and very easy way to make at home ever can fresher can make easily, meatballs are juicy and great taste with BBQ sauce,Definitely use fresh bread Crumbs and  fresh herbs.

INGREDIENTS

  • 250 g lean minced beef
  • 250 g spicy sausages, removed from casing
  • 250 g regular sausages, removed from casing
  • 1/4 cups hot water
  • 1 tbs dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp dried basil
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 6 cloves garlic, crushed
  • 1/2 loaf french bread,cut into small pieces

For Sauce

  • 1 tsp butter
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1/2 cup hot water
  • 1 cup chicken stock
  • 1/2 cup dibis ramman
  • 1/3 cup  BBQ Sauce

DIRECTIONS:

  1.  Preheat oven to 180 c and place oven rack in middle position
  2. Line the bottom of an oven tray with aluminum foil
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine minced meat and both types of sausages until evenly mixed
  4. add water and crumbled oregano,basil, garlic and onion and mix for another 3-4 minutes
  5. Gradually mix in the small bread pieces until all ingredients are well incorporated
  6. Shape mixture into golf-ball size meatballs and place on over try. Bake in a preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until meatballs are cooked and golden on top.
  7. To prepare sauce, melt butter over medium heat and saute onions in saucepan until soft, Add water chicken stock,, remaining ingredients. Turn heat to low and allow simmer for 15 minutes,occasionally stirring until sauce slightly thickens
  8. To serve, place cooked meatballs in mixing bowl, cover with sauce and toss around to ensure all meatballs are covered. serve hot.
  9. Garnish with your choice fined chopped parsley  or chopped color bell pepper .
